VOLUNTEER DAY: HERB GARDEN & BIODYNAMIC PRACTICE

Every third Saturday, we host a volunteer day specifically for the herb garden and our seasonal biodynamic practices. Projects would include planting, harvesting, and drying herbs in our herb garden, as well as preparing and applying our biodynamic preparations that nourish the land. Let’s come together and build the farm while building community!

SCHEDULE

10:00-11:00: Parking, Coffee/Tea and Registration
11:00: Opening Circle and Divide into Work-Groups for Volunteer Projects
1:00-2:00: Lunch — Please bring your picnic lunch
2:00-4:00: Continue Volunteer Projects
2:00-3:00: Farm Tour for Newcomers & Children to visit the animals
4:00: Clean Up and Depart

Camping is available if desired.

Bring a sun hat, water bottle, and close-toed shoes. Layers are recommended for all weather.

Your guests and friends are welcome.

Children must be supervised at all times. If they are too young to help in our volunteer projects, please plan to have one adult who can contribute to the projects and one adult to attend to the children. We have many baby animals to visit in the barnyard or bring a picnic blanket to lay out in the shade of our plum tree!
